Our Food, Your Food

We cook with love!  We are happy to cook tasty, nourishing meals for guests staying for B&B in the main house or for guests staying in the cottage. Please book your meal no later than 2pm on your arrival day!

Some guests stay for more than a night, some stay for two weeks and eat every night! In such cases, they begin to sample some of the rarer and more exotic dishes that we prepare.

We, Paula and Ram, have been cooking for groups since the 1980’s in London. We then opened a residential centre in Sussex in 1991, cooking for various groups on a daily basis. In 2003  we moved to Tourné and since then we have cooked for thousands of people in groups of up to 50. Occasionally, we are assisted by French and English professional chefs with a wide range of experience and specialties.

We ask you to reserve in advance so that we can freshly prepare food on the day of your arrival. Our menus are nutritionally balanced, our salads are full of vitality and originality, combining traditional tastes with rarer flavours. Delicate combinations using fresh herbs and spices ensure you will be surprised at how delicious and interesting a salad can be.

Original Recipes, Well Known Favourites

Simple ingredients make the best meals. We prepare a variety of home made condiments such as fennel gomasio, sea vegetable seasoning and herbal salt adding variety without making a meal too complex.

Our original recipes are our family recipes, the ones we cook at home, that we enjoy preparing and eating. Paula’s soups are always welcome. Many people ask for the recipes. That is recommendation enough!

Authentic Oriental Touch

Family background mean we have always cooked with an oriental touch. Delicate flavours which combine our love for Indian foods with Persian and Chinese tastes.

Ram’s mother is from Armenia but learned her cooking from Greeks, Italians and Egyptians while being brought up in Cairo.

Ram and Paula’s mezzé table includes many favourites such as hummous, hand rolled stuffed vine leaves, quinoa or wheat tabouleh, vegetable or meat kofta.

Breakfasts

On our standard breakfast table when you stay as a guest you will find:

freshly baked croissant

home made jams and marmalade

fresh fruit

organic yoghurt

fruit juice

fresh bread.

We will also prepare your coffee to taste. Or, try a pot of our fresh herbal tea, bancha twig or green tea.

Tea, coffee, wine.

Evening meals are between 15€ and 22€ per person according to menu. The 14€ menu includes our soup of the day, a delicious salad that will never be just lettuce leaves, bread, wine and desert, tea or coffee.
