In the heart of Tao, we breathe, we see, we are.
North Star Qigong
This form comprises 12 external movements, one harmonising form with special breathing technique. It aligns with and opens awareness to the central channel.
Central Channel-a gentle awakening.
Graceful forms combine with the harmonising movement to gradually build awareness of the central channel. Central channel awareness has many characteristics and functions. As meditation, it is dharmata-awareness without object. As an energetic function it has the capacity to regulate all energetic functions of the body an mind.
Moving forms to improve bodily alignment, ease emotional turbulence.
Polaris-the north star after which the form is named-is the star around which the northern sky appears to move around. To the ancient taoists, it was considered to represent the centre of the universe, the centre of awareness and in the physical body, the central channel.
Practiced in a group, the form reveals extraordinary capacity to enhance awareness, to move the body harmoniously in relation to others and to support reorganisation of energy, body and emotions.
