Winter Retreat: Meditation, longevity breathing Tao yoga: Saturday January 4, 2020
Departure: Monday January 13, 2020
This retreat has been running for over 10 years. It is mostly a silent retreat. Participants have the opportunity to talk during discourses and after formal sessions. The meditation practice is based in Taoist longevity breathing. After five or so days, it will move towards dharmata meditation [objectless or essential awareness] in the tradition of guru Padmasambhava as taught to Lady Tsogyal.
The foundation of Taoist meditation practice, longevity breathing increases duration and smoothness of breath, increased oxygen supply to the blood and lungs and suports the mind entering a settled and open relaxed state. A highly efficient practice for all daily activities including sport and high pressure work.
The perfect complement to the meditation and breathing practices, participants can expect to learn and practice daily a 90 minute tao yoga series that brings the practitioner to a heightened state of clear awareness.
