Autumn Retreat: For the Benenfit of All Beings
28th October - 2nd November 2024
STUPA
Bringing spiritual practice to life
This is an opportunity to take part in a remarkable process which began with our ancestors.
The work undertaken will be practical - the tangible; and ineffable, the intangible. There will be some meditation practices with the emphasis on daily life application.
The activities will combine devotional, physical and interactive. These will be based on the highest teachings that have been revealed to us through the generosity of past teachers.
A stupa is not exclusively buddhist or Indian or Tibetan. A church or a cathedral shares many common elements. Revealed texts now suggest that involvement in building a stupa will bring blessings to the individual as well as harmony and peace to the environment.
Many varied preparations for this project have begun participants combining meditative skills with creative energy; combining the search for personal peace with the recognition of the importance of contributing to the harmony of the environment.
